Wellabled, looking to follow in the hoofsteps of similarly flashy stablemate Shackin Up (Shackleford) and be named a 'TDN Rising Star', practically beat the gate and immediately cleared in this unveiling. The 2-1 shot doled out splits of :22.58 and :45.73, and was challenged by Godolphin newcomer Guernsey (Tapit) approaching the stretch. He disposed of that rival easily, and kicked away to air by 7 1/2 lengths while traveling quite strongly at the wire. Guernsey was able to hold second. A $70,000 KEENOV weanling and $50,000 KEESEP yearling, Wellabled was the priciest juvenile by his freshman sire (by Forestry) to sell this year when he commanded $340,000 at OBS April following a co-quickest :20 2/5 breeze. He becomes the Darby Dan resident's fifth winner. Wellabled's dam is a half to GISW Ringaskiddy (Slewvescent). She produced a Tapizar colt named Barcola earlier this term. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $19,200. Click for the Equibase.com chart, VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton or the free Equineline.com catalogue-style pedigree.
