'TDN Rising Star' Musawaah | Scoop Dyga

'TDN Rising Star' Musawaah (Union Rags) showed genuine potential when winning the Listed Prix de la Seine at Chantilly on May 7 and Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum's flashy homebred returns to the scene of that success on Sunday for the G3 Prix de Royaumont. This is partly a re-run of that 11-furlong contest, with the second, third and fourth Kitesurf (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), Lady Paname (Fr) (Soldier of Fortune {Ire}) and Szolnok (Elusive Quality) back in opposition and the former represents Andre Fabre, who holds the record of 11 winners. Kitesurf represents Godolphin alongside the Charlie Appleby-trained Glittering Jewel (Bernardini), who was runner-up to the subsequent Listed Height of Fashion S. winner Mori (GB) (Frankel {GB}) in a 10-furlong maiden at Ascot on May 12. Godolphin's Lisa-Jane Graffard said, “Kitesurf has a bit to find if she is to reverse the form with Musawaah, but she comes into this race in good form and is an improving filly. She is going the right way, gets this trip well and should hopefully make the frame.” Charlie Appleby added, “Glittering Jewel improved nicely from her first to second run and ran into a decent filly at Ascot, who has gone on to win a listed race. I am looking forward to seeing her step up in trip and feel that she should be very competitive.”
