Ken and Sarah Ramsey's International Star (Fusaichi Pegasus) will break from the far-outside nine hole once again in Saturday's GII Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds. The Mike Maker trainee snuck up the rail to annex this venue's GIII Lecomte S. Jan. 17, and managed to save ground after leaving from stall nine when annexing the GII Risen Star S. Feb. 21. The bay has been installed the 3-1 choice for this final GI Kentucky Derby prep. “We have a good enough horse; we'll be fine,” Maker said of the post. War Story (Northern Afleet), second in both the Lecomte and Risen Star, drew the six slot and is the co-second choice on the morning line at 4-1 along with Mr. Z (Malibu Moon). “There's quite a bit of speed in the race,” noted War Story's trainer Tom Amoss. “Being in the six hole and having quite a bit of speed inside of us, I think we have a favorable draw.”
