Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens is expected to resume riding next month after undergoing hip replacement surgery in December (click here for story). “The doctor is very happy; I don't have to see him again for a year,” the 53-year-old told a member of the Santa Anita press team from Clockers' Corner Saturday morning. “He released me to start getting on horses the first of March and I'll start riding races early March.”
