The speedy Stonetastic (Mizzen Mast) looks to take her 2016 record to two-for-two as the heavy favorite in Saturday's GII Inside Information S. at Gulfstream. Runaway winner of the 2014 GII Prioress S., the Stoneway Farm runner got her 2015 season off to a late start with a neck defeat at the hands of subsequent GI Ballerina S. winner Unbridled Forever (Unbridled's Song) in Saratoga's Shine Again S. last August. The Kelly Breen pupil romped by 15 3/4 lengths in what was the equivalent of a paid workout at Parx a month later and was eighth in the GI Breeders' Cup F/M Sprint at Keeneland Oct. 31. Splitting Best Behavior (Into Mischief) and You Bought Her (Graeme Hall) when second in the GIII Sugar Swirl S. here Dec. 26, Stonetastic returned to winning ways with a five-length score over Miss Melinda (Malibu Moon) in the local Miami Shores H. last time Feb. 14.
Mary and Chester Broman's Bar of Gold (Medaglia d'Oro) has been knocking at the door of a graded win for some time now. The John Kimmel trainee closed out her sophomore campaign with a trio of runner-up efforts in the GI Test S. Aug. 8, GII Prioress S. Sept. 6 and GII Raven Run S. Oct. 17 and makes her 4-year-old debut here.
Graham Motion saddles an interesting runner at a price in Dixiana Farms' Tiger Ride (Candy Ride {Arg}). Winner of the Indiana Grand S. on turf last September, the bay bested GI Mother Goose S. winner Include Betty (Include) next out in the off-the-turf GIII Vallet View S. going 1 1/16 miles at Keeneland Oct. 24 and should appreciate the cut back in trip here.
