Edward Evans, who went to $950,000 to get Wild Poppy (El Prado {Ire}) from the Overbrook Dispersal, had to dig a little deeper to get Overbrook's four-year-old Dark Sky (Storm Cat–Media Nox {GB}, by Lycius). Evans went to $1.3 million at KEENOV Wednesday for the latest addition to his holdings. Two-for-five lifetime, the chestnut was a maiden winner on the turf at Saratoga and an allowance winner on the Poly at Keeneland last year. Dark Sky is a full to MG1SW Nebraska Tornado, winner of the G1 Prix de Diane, and a half to GSW Burning Sun (Danzig) and SW and G1SP Mirabilis (Lear Fan).
