Storm Cat–Fleet Indian Colt Brings $2.05 Million at KEESEP

Darley head Sheikh Mohammed, standing under the rear bidspotter, fought off Coolmore's John Magnier to land a Storm Cat colt out of champion Fleet Indian (Indian Charlie) for $2.05 million during Tuesday's second session of the Keeneland September Sale. It was easily the highest price of the sale midway through the session and was only the second seven-figure horse. The striking dark bay colt was the first foal from dual Grade I winner Fleet Indian, who RNA'd for $3.9 million as a broodmare prospect at the 2007 Keeneland November Sale. Shortly thereafter, Summer Wind Farm purchased her privately and bred this colt in Kentucky.
