Australian business mogul Paul Fudge bid $450,000 to acquire a Street Cry (Ire) half-sister to champion English Channel (Smart Strike), the most expensive price for a weanling through the midway part of Sunday's Fasig-Tipton November sale. Consigned to the sale by Paramount Sales, agent, the chestnut is a daughter of Belva (Theatrical {Ire}), who, in addition to being the dam of six-time Grade I winner English Channel, has also produced Sedgefield, a multiple graded-stakes placed full brother to English Channel.
