Street Fancy, Lucky to Be Me to be Offered at Keeneland November

Grade I winner Street Fancy (Street Sense–Bold Angel, by Cat Thief) and Lucky to Be Me (Bernstein–Belle Erzulie, by Pulpit), dam of juvenile filly champion Champagne Room (Broken Vow), will both be offered at next month's Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.

Street Fancy, winner of the 2015 GI Starlet S., will be offered carrying her first foal by Medaglia d'Oro. The 4-year-old filly will be consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency.

“People will be attracted to Street Fancy for many reasons, including her status as a Grade I winner and her cover date to one of the world's leading sires,” said Mark Taylor, Vice President of Marketing and Public Sales Operations for Taylor Made Sales Agency. “Her greatest attribute can only be appreciated in person. She is a big gorgeous mare that you can't take your eyes off of.”

Lucky to Be Me's daughter Champagne Room was named last year's champion 2-year-old filly after winning the 2016 GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. The 10-year-old mare, in foal to Uncle Mo, will be consigned to the November sale by Denali Stud on behalf of Mike Cavey and Nancy Temple's Respite Farm. Also on behalf of Respite Farm, Denali will offer Lucky to Be Me's weanling filly by Strong Mandate.

“This is a special offering, particularly with Champagne Room reminding people how good she is this past weekend in her much-anticipated and impressive return win in the Remington Oaks,” said Denali's Craig Bandoroff. “It's not every day the opportunity comes up to purchase a mare that's only 10 years old and has produced a 2-year-old champion. Lucky to Be Me is in foal to a great sire in Uncle Mo, and the weanling selling at her side–which is another filly–is an outstanding physical.”

Bandoroff continued, “Lucky to Be Me ticks all the proverbial boxes, and she is being offered for breeders Mike Cavey and Nancy Temple of Respite Farm, who were also the breeders of Uncle Mo. Mike and Nancy's prowess as breeders is remarkable. From a very small broodmare band, they have developed and raised two champions, and offered the dams of both at public auction. We are fortunate to be members of their team, and beneficiaries of their accomplishments.”

Champagne Room, who broke her maiden in last year's GII Sorrento S., returned to the races with a 3 3/4-length victory in Sunday's Remington Park Oaks.

The Keeneland November sale will be held from Nov. 7-18.
