Street Hero Likely to Stand at Vinery

A deal is in the final stages for Myung Kwon Cho's GI Norfolk S. winner Street Hero (Street Cry {Ire}–Squall Linda, by Summer Squall) to enter stud in 2009 at Vinery Kentucky, a farm source confirmed . Third to Midshipman (Unbridled's Song) in an Aug. 17 maiden at Del Mar, the bay ran third by 3/4 of a length to that colt in the GI Del Mar Futurity Sept. 3, then topped him by the same margin in the Norfolk at Oak Tree Sept. 28. In their most recent meeting, Street Hero ran third in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Oct. 25 at Santa Anita, where he reportedly sustained a knee injury. The homebred is out of the graded-placed Squall Linda, who was also owned and trained by Cho. His career record stands at 6-1-2-3 with earnings of $419,360.
