Juddmonte Farms homebred Suffused (GB) (Champs Elysees {GB}) failed to find the winner's circle in her last two outings, but appears primed to return to winning ways Sunday in Woodbine's GII Dance Smartly S. Coming up just a nose short when second in the course-and-distance GI E.P. Taylor S. last October, the Bill Mott trainee kicked off this term with a pair of victories in Gulfstream's GIII La Prevoyante H. Jan. 28 and GIII Very One S. Mar. 4. Runner-up in the GII Sheepshead Bay S. May 6, the chestnut finished fifth as the favorite last time in the GII New York S. at Belmont June 9.
Lael Stables' Rainha Da Bateria (Broken Vow) represents the always dangerous Chad Brown barn. Winner of the GII Canadian S. going nine panels over this course last September, the chestnut was fifth in the E.P. Taylor and checked in fourth in her lone start this term in Belmont's GIII Beaugay S. over a yielding course May 13.
Starship Jubilee (Indy Wind) rides a four-race win streak into this test, including a last-out success in this venue's GII Nassau S. going a mile over a yielding course May 27.
