Sweet Start To Magics Second Session

Following on from a strong opening session Wednesday, it didn't take long for the action to kick into high gear during the second session of the Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling sale Thursday, when New Zealand-based agent Dean Hawthorne went to A$1.1 million for lot 233, the full-brother to Group 1 winner Sweet Idea (Aus) from Arrowfield Stud. The strapping chestnut colt became the first yearling of the sale to breach the million-dollar mark.
