Outgoing CEO Björn Nilsson Named Svensk Galopp Chairman

Björn Nilsson, who in April announced his decision to step down as Svensk Galopp's CEO, has been appointed the organisation's chairman, filling a post vacated by Anders Lilius in March. As a result of Nilsson assuming the chairmanship, his departure as CEO has been moved forward from July 31 and is now effective immediately. Bjorn Nilsson, CEO of Svensk Galopp, will step down from his post on Friday, July 31, the organisation announced on Thursday. Nilsson will have served in the post for approximately two years. Swedish Yearling Sale Confirmed for September Return

Svensk Galopp has confirmed that this year's Swedish Yearling Sale, arranged in collaboration with the breeding association SFAF, will be staged at Bro Park Racecourse on Friday, September 25. The sale is scheduled to take place a week after Denmark's Scandinavian Open Yearling Sale and five days after Bro Park's most important annual fixture, which features the G3 Stockholm Cup International and a number of Listed prizes.
