Swedish Yearling Sale Confirmed for September Return

Last year's Swedish Yearling and Horses in Training Sale in full flow | Xander Brett

Svensk Galopp has confirmed that this year's Swedish Yearling Sale, arranged in collaboration with the breeding association SFAF, will be staged at Bro Park Racecourse on Friday, September 25.

The sale is scheduled to take place a week after Denmark's Scandinavian Open Yearling Sale and five days after Bro Park's most important annual fixture, which features the G3 Stockholm Cup International and a number of Listed prizes.

Racing is also scheduled at Bro Park on Saturday, September 26, the day after trading.

Anna Öhgren of Svensk Galopp said she was “incredibly excited” to be managing the project again.

“This is the second year that the Swedish Yearling Sale is being organised by Svensk Galopp and we've learned a great deal from last year,” she explained. “While the number of foals has decreased, we remain very positive and confident about delivering a high-quality, successful and engaging auction.”

Last year's edition, which also included a collection of horses in training, was Sweden's first thoroughbred yearling sale since the SÅEF organisation's final offering in 2023.

This year's prospective purchasers and consignors can find relevant information via the Galoppauktionen page of Svensk Galopp's website in due course.
