+CATSADIVA (f, 3, Tale of the Cat–Song'n Dance, by Carson City) sent off at 7-2 from a morning line of 5-1, outfinished Indulgent (Bernardini), the close relative of Saturday's GI Whitney H. favorite Frosted (Tapit), to break her maiden at first asking Thursday afternoon at the Spa. The Robert and Lawana Low runner jumped fairly and settled in fourth spot early on as Madcap Heiress (Speightstown) showed the way from Splashtakular (Tiz Wonderful), with Indulgent perched three wide from third. Catsadiva came under a ride nearing the exit to the turn, but picked up the bridle when shifted down to the inside in the final eighth of a mile and found the line a diminishing half-length to the good of Indulgent. A $67,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase in 2014, Catsadiva was hammered down to the Lows' bloodstock agent Jacob West for $360,000 at the 2015 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training.
