Tampa Bay Downs has announced that it will donate $50,000 to Oldsmar Cares–an organization that provides rent and utility assistance, a food pantry and clothes closet and other services for those in need–to be used for construction of a new building. “Oldsmar Cares has been a valuable resource in the northwest Tampa Bay community for 20 years, and we have been pleased and proud to offer our support in the past,” Flynn said. “We have witnessed the positive effects of the organization's work with needy residents and are grateful for an opportunity to assist them in their mission.” Since 2003, Tampa Bay Downs has donated more than $1.5-million to local charities.
