Tashop (c, 2, Tapit–Shopping, by Private Account), a half to GISW Miss Shop (Deputy Minister) and SW Bought In Dixie (Dixieland Band), brought $850,000 to set a record during the opening session of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale at Timonium Monday. Steve Young signed the ticket on the Florida-bred chestnut, who was consigned by Cary Frommer, agent for the Hobeau Farm dispersal. The previous mark was set at the sale in 2006, when Zounds (Johannesburg) brought $625,000 from Jeff Singer.
