Hip 399, a colt by Tapit out of GISW Hooh Why, set a new high mark at Keeneland September, selling for $1.2 million to Crupi's New Castle Farm late Tuesday afternoon. The gray, by leading sire Tapit and bred by SF Bloodstock, was consigned by Baccari Bloodstock, Agent XVII.
Hooh Why, winner of the GI Ashland S. as a 2-year-old, was purchased for $550,000 by SF Bloodstock at Fasig-Tipton November in 2013 and was subsequently bought back for $750,000 in foal to Tapit at Keeneland November in 2014.
