TAPA TAPA TAPA (f, 2, Tapit–Kickin' the Clouds, by Dixieland Band), closed to finish second when unveiled over a furlong shorter here July 16 and was duly tabbed the 4-5 crowd's pick in this return to the Woodbine synthetic. One of the quickest away, the grey was content to let Sprint Tempest (Spring At Last) lead the way early while hard-pressed by Gertie T (Midnight Lute). The latter took over through a :46.48 half-mile, but proved a perfect target for Tapa Tapa Tapa, who arrived at the front with a strong bid midway on the bend, getting six panels in 1:11.40. She drew off powerfully down the lane to win by about four lengths in 1:23.78 for the seven furlongs. Erin Commodity (Hansen) made up some late ground to take second. Lifetime Record: 2-1-1-0.
