Tara's Tango Retired

Stonestreet Stables' GISW Tara's Tango (Unbridled's Song–Scarlet Tango, by French Deputy) has been retired to join the farm's broodmare band, Stonestreet confirmed via Twitter Tuesday afternoon. The 4-year-old homebred captured the GI Santa Margarita S. at Santa Anita Mar. 19 and recently wrapped up her career with a fourth-place finish in the GI Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint Nov. 5. Conditioned by Jerry Hollendorfer, Tara's Tango retires with a record of 5-3-2 from 14 starts and earnings of $806,604.

Tara's Tango finished out of the superfecta only once in her career, enjoying additional graded stakes success this year in Santa Anita's GII Santa Maria S. Feb. 13 and the GIII Rancho Bernardo H. at Del Mar Aug. 17. A daughter of SP Scarlet Tango, she is a half-sister to GI King's Bishop S. winner Visionaire (Grand Slam) and GSW and GISP Scarlet Strike (Smart Strike).
