Tattersalls Continues Curragh Support

Tattersalls will continue its support as the title sponsor of the Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival in 2018, The Curragh announced on Tuesday. The sales company will sponsor the G1 Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas, G1 Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas and the G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup, scheduled for May 26-27 during the Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival. Courtesy of Horse Racing Ireland and Tattersalls, the two Classics will boast prizemoney of €350,000 for the 2000 Guineas and €300,000 for the fillies' equivalent.

“The Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival is one of the highlights of the European racing calendar and the flagship of the Tattersalls global sponsorship portfolio,” said Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony. “Our renewed sponsorship at The Curragh demonstrates the Tattersalls commitment to Irish racing and reflects the consistent support we receive at our sales from all sectors of the Irish racing and breeding industry.”
