Tattersalls Ireland's July and August sales at Ascot will both accommodate horses in training this year, diverting those offerings from the Tattersalls Ireland Derby and August sales. The sales take place July 12 and Aug. 16, respectively. In addition, the Tattersalls Ireland Ascot November Sale will now be held Nov. 4 to accommodate the new Tattersalls Ireland Breeding Stock and Foal Sale Nov. 4.
Tattersalls Ireland HIT Sales Director Richard Pugh said, “Recent Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Sales have shown that winning Irish Point to Pointers attract plenty of interest, and Irish vendors are sending quality 4- and 5-year-old maiden winners to Ascot in increasing numbers. Alongside our market leading sales at Cheltenham, we are keen to develop Ascot as a widely recognised source of quality National Hunt performers, and diverting the Horses in Training from the Derby and August Sales will provide vendors with a wonderful opportunity to showcase high class horses to an abundance of purchasers at a perfect time of the year.”
