Ten Up?

Churchill | Racing Post

With three of the five engaged in Sunday's G2 Galileo EBF Futurity S. at The Curragh and the hot favourite in Churchill (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), a 10th success in the race that helped along three subsequent Classic winners since 2007 looks likely for Aidan O'Brien's Team Ballydoyle. The colt in question has looked a steady builder so far in his career, winning the Listed Chesham S. at Royal Ascot June 18 and G3 Tyros S. at Leopardstown July 21 by less than a length in total but it is probably a bonus that he has done anything of that ilk at this stage of his career given his physical stature. Stablemate Capri (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) likes to do it from the front and his two-length defeat of the smart Boyfriend Brian (Ire) (Big Bad Bob {Ire}) in Tipperary's Listed Canford Cliffs S. over an extended seven furlongs Aug. 5 puts him almost on terms with Churchill, so he will provide a useful marker of the ability of the stable's number one. LNJ Foxwoods and Jim Bolger's 'TDN Rising Star' Radio Silence (War Front) looked in need of this step up in trip when fourth in the G3 Anglesey S. over six furlongs 63 yards here last time July 16 and is the only juvenile in the race not trained by one of the O'Brien dynasty.
