Teofilo Filly Leads Arqana Day Two

Sir Robert Ogden continued his active buying spree Saturday at the Arqana August Yearling Sales in Deauville, accounting for the day's most expensive offering, a powerful chestnut filly by first-year sire Teofilo (Ire)–Delicieuse Lady (GB) (Trempolino) atニᆲ400,000. The April foal, consigned by Ecurie des Monceaux, is a half-sister to Blue Canari (Fr) (Acatenango {Ger}), winner of the G1 Prix du Jockey-Club back in 2004. “She has a wonderful pedigree and she's a nice moving filly,” said Barry Simpson, Ogden's racing manager. In addition to Blue Canari, the session-topping filly is kin to MSW & MGSP Blue Ksar (Fr) (Anabaa). Year over year, the second day of trade was nearly a carbon copy, with the average of タ122,719 marginally ahead of 2009, while the median was level at タ100,000.
