Robert Masterson's Tepin (Bernstein), who became an international sensation with her win in the G1 Queen Anne S. at Royal Ascot last June, earned her second straight Eclipse statue as champion turf mare. Tepin joins an elite group, which includes Miesque and Goldikova, of back-to-back winners in the division. The bay mare also won the 2016 GI Jenny Wiley S. and GI Woodbine Mile. She missed out on a second straight GI Breeders' Cup Mile victory when second, beaten a half-length, by Tourist (Tiznow). Tepin received 225 first-place votes, while Found (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) received 11.
