Whereas the Prix des Chenes is a trial for the Jean-Luc Lagardere, Chantilly's G3 Prix d'Aumale serves as a pointer to the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac, and Thursday's edition features some intriguing fillies heading in that direction headed by Andrew-James Smith's unbeaten Toulifaut (Ire) (Frankel {GB}). Giving her sire his first winner in France from his first runner over seven furlongs at Clairefontaine July 9, she followed up without fuss over 7 1/2 furlongs at Deauville Aug. 14, but has more on her plate here.
Sheikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Thani's Invincible Queen (Fr) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) was an authoritative winner of a mile debutantes race at Deauville Aug. 23, while Simon Crisford sends across Noel O'Callaghan's Aug. 20 G3 Prix du Calvados runner-up Asidious Alexander (Ire) (Windsor Knot {Ire}) to test them.
