The Jockey Club Releases the Experimental Free Handicap Weights

The Jockey Club has released the top weights in the 2013 Experimental Free Handicap. New Yea?s Day (Street Cry {Ire}), who was retired shortly after his GI Breeder? Cup Juvenile victory, was given the high weight of 126 pounds. GI Breeder? Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Ria Antonia (Rockport Harbor) and runner-up Sh?s a Tiger (Tale of the Cat) were given the high weight for fillies at 123. Published annually since 1935, the Experimental Free Handicap assigns weights for a hypothetical 1 1/6-mile†dirt race. For all Experimental Free Handicap weights visit www.jockeyclub.com.
