The Pamplemousse (Kafwain), the 9-5 morning line favorite for today's GI Santa Anita Derby, has been scratched after veterinarians discovered a filling in one of his tendons. The winner of the GIII San Rafael S. and GIII Sham S. will undergo an ultrasound tomorrow morning. Should he recover quickly, the gray could be pointed towards the GI Blue Grass S. April 11 or train up to the GI Kentucky Derby May 2.
