Thewayiam (Fr) (Thewayyouare) is two-for-two over the Gulfstream Park turf course and she looks to extend that record in Saturday's GIII Herecomesthebride S. Capturing one of three starts in her native France, the bay was privately purchased and transferred to Graham Motion, winning her Stateside debut for this barn at Keeneland in October. A head-scratching 11th in Del Mar's GIII Jimmy Durante S. in November, she returned to winning ways in the local Ginger Brew S. Jan. 6 and came flying late to take the GIII Sweetest Chant S. last time Feb. 3.

“She's like the Energizer Bunny,” Motion said. “She's doing well and she obviously likes that track so it looks like a logical spot.”

Todd Pletcher shows confidence in Amertume (Tapit) stepping her right up to stakes company off a course-and-distance victory in her Jan. 27 unveiling. The Wertheimer and Frere homebred was a bit green, but circled the field for a half-length score under John Velazquez in that first outing, an effort that was further flattered when the second and fourth-place finishers won their next starts.

Princess Warrior (Midshipman) proved to be a strong competitor on dirt as a juvenile and tries grass for the first time in this sophomore bow. Graduating at first asking at Churchill Downs in September, the Ken McPeek trainee checked in second in the GI Darley Alcibiades S. at Keeneland a month later and showed late interest to be eighth in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Nov. 4. The bay was second to next-out Trapeze S. winner Cosmic Burst (Violence) when last seen in a Churchill optional claimer Nov. 25. Princess Warrior's pedigree, which is laden with South American graded winners, suggests she may like the sod and her conditioner had success with this type of surface switch last year with Daddys Lil Darling (Scat Daddy), who ran second in the GI Kentucky Oaks and closed out last term with a victory on grass in the GI American Oaks.
