Thursday's racing card at Santa Anita has been cancelled due to lack of entries.
“After looking at entries for Thursday, we decided it was in the best interest of our customers to put on three solid race cards, Friday, Saturday and Sunday,” said Joe Morris, The Stronach Group's Senior Vice-President of West Coast Operations. “The races from Thursday that attracted enough entries will be added over those three days to give horsemen some additional racing opportunities.”
Santa Anita was also forced to cancel its Thursday card Apr. 27 due to a shortage of entries.
Live racing will return to the Arcadia oval Friday with a first post of 1 p.m.
