There are six days left for employers and colleagues to nominate stud and stable staff for the 2017 Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards, with nominations closing Aug. 1 at 5:00 EST.
The awards, presented by Godolphin and supported by the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, The Jockey Club and the national HPBA, total $128,000 in prizes. Nominations can be made by anyone within the industry in the United States. Trainers, owners, breeders and managers can all show their appreciation for the hard-working members of their staff and reward the people who form the backbone of the racing and breeding industries in America.
There are six categories $10,000 going to the winner of each, as well as $5,000 to be shared among their co-workers. Two runners-up will also receive $2,500 with another $2,500 shared.
“What a fantastic program that Godolphin has so generously sponsored,” said TIEA ambassador Sean Clancy. “To recognize those individuals who do so much for our equine athletes, and to also reward their fellow stable and farm employees, positively reinforces the team concept, and is really something very special.”
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony hosted by Keeneland Friday, Oct. 13. Nomination forms are available here.
