Khalid Abdullah's homebred Time Test (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) will bid to get back on the winning trail in Saturday's G2 Sky Bet York S. at York. Trainer Roger Charlton is hoping the 4-year-old can book his ticket to a bigger test back at York in August, the G1 Juddmonte International, a race sponsored by Khalid Abdullah, and won by him in recent years with the likes of Frankel (GB) and Twice Over (GB). Time Test was last in action at Sandown, where he ran a sound race to finish third to Hawkbill (Kitten's Joy) in the G1 Coral Eclipse.
Charlton is happy with the colt since and commented, “As things stand, Saturday is very much the plan as it fits in with him hopefully running in the G1 Juddmonte International at the course in August. We will be hoping the thunderstorms and showers, which are forecast to rumble in from Wednesday, keep away from York as Time Test is a much better horse on fast ground.”
Time Test has yet to have his optimum conditions whenever he has been tried at the highest level and Charlton added, “I was pleased with him at Sandown and he has been in good form since.”
