Time To Be Frank

Frankel | Juddmonte Farms

By

If Frankel's achievements with his first crop juveniles in 2016 are anything to go by, it looks like we may have discovered another super stallion. Time will tell. Another year will reveal all. It really depends on how his 3-year-olds shape up. Will they resemble the great Galileo sophomores, the vast majority of which relish 10 and 12 furlongs, or will some be more comfortable at shorter distances? By the end of year two, Frankel will need another 13 black-type winners and six more group winners to better Dubawi's scores at the same stage, which are the best in recent times. And his elite performers (his top 10%) will need to average a Timeform rating of 119 to beat the best recent score recorded by Montjeu. You wouldn't bet against either happening.
