Tiz Wonderful Arrives in Korea
Tiz Wonderful (Tiznow–Evil, by Hennessy), currently the second-leading third-crop sire in the United States, has arrived safely in Korea, according to bloodstock agent Rollin Baugh, who helped broker the sale of the stallion from B. Wayne Hughes and Stonestreet Stables to the Korean Racing Authority.
“The KRA is really getting up to speed with the international racing community,” Baugh commented. “Their activity has focused on new bloodlines to the region, and it doesn’t hurt that Tiz Wonderful has had such a great season, especially with his 2-year-olds.”
Second only to Curlin among third-crop sires, Tiz Wonderful is the sire of GI Spinaway S. winner Condo Commando, as well as the undefeated Big Trouble, who won the GII Sanford S. at Saratoga only to be sidelined by injury shortly thereafter. He has also been represented by GI Santa Monica S. victress Scherzinger and the New York-bred juvenile stakes winners Wonder Gal and Quezon.
Baugh continued, “Korea is rapidly joining the international community with international racing, breeding and sales activity, and with this kind of activity, I would look forward to prosperity there in the years to come.”
Tiz Wonderful stands alongside two other recent acquisitions by the KRA, Rock Hard Ten and Hansen.
