Toast of New York (Thewayyouare), who returned off a 37-month lay-off to annex a race over the Lingfield synthetic Dec. 6, will return to the States to contest the GI Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream Jan. 27. The Jamie Osborne-trained Al Shaqab Racing colorbearer had previously last been seen finishing second by a nose to Bayern (Offlee Wild) and ahead of California Chrome (Lucky Pulpit) in the 2014 GI Breeders' Cup Classic. Toast of New York will race in the Pegasus spot owned by Reeves Thoroughbred Racing, R.A. Hill Stable and Eric Young thanks to a deal brokered by Dean Reeves and Bradley Weisbord representing Al Shaqab.
