Jamm Ltd. homebred SMART SHOPPING (Smart Strike) makes her career debut in this spot for trainer Brendan Walsh. The bay is a half-sister to GISW Power Broker (Pulpit) and SW Fierce Boots (Tiznow), as well as Fast Retailing (Malibu Moon), who makes her stakes debut in Saturday's GIII Comely S. at Aqueduct. Her SW dam Shop Again (Wild Again) is herself a half-sister to GISW Miss Shop (Deputy Minister)–who produced this term's GIII Miss Grillo S. victress Tin Type Gal (Tapit)–as well as GSW & MGISP Trappe Shot (Tapit). Smart Shopping has been working steadily over the Churchill Downs training track and has been given a 10-1 chance on the morning line. Stonestreet Stables' Queen Pauline (Tapit) stretches out to seven furlongs for her second start after failing to factor when sixth in her six-panel debut at Keeneland Oct. 18. The chestnut, a $500,000 Fasig-Tipton November weanling acquisition, is the second foal to race out of SW Miss Catalyst (Mr. Greeley). Click for TJCIS.com PPs.

DOXOLOGY (Songandaprayer) became a “TDN Rising Star” with an unprecedented rally from the clouds to capture her six-furlong unveiling at Indiana Grand Oct. 21. Conditioned by Brad Cox, who has been enjoying a splendid Chuchill Downs stand, the $75,000 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic buy has been working steadily over the local strip in preparation for this first start against winners. The chestnut will likely have to run down Tom R. Durant's Durango (First Samurai), tabbed as the slight 3-1 morning line choice off a wire-to-wire maiden score going a half-furlong shorter here Nov. 1. Purchased for $475,000 at the Midlantic Sale, the filly is a daughter of MSW & MGSP Superduper Miss (Robyn Dancer), herself a half-sister to GSW Lines of Beauty (Line In the Sand). Midwest Thoroughbreds' UNEXPLAINED (Ghostzapper) earned “TDN Rising Star” status with an eye-catching last-to-first rally to capture his seven-furlong debut here Nov. 1 and looks to build on trainer Chris Richard's 40% win rate at this meet. The gelding, a $50,000 KEESEP yearling acquisition, hails from the extended family of GI Breeders' Cup Sprint winner Very Subtle (Hoist the Silver). The dark bay posted two intervening workouts over the local strip, including a five-panel breeze in 1:01 flat here Nov. 20. “He has the looks of a horse that would really benefit from routing,” said Richard, who added that he hopes to get his charge to some of the sophomore stakes events at Oaklawn Park over the winter. “He doesn't have a whole lot of gate speed. But I do like the one turn mile with him and I think he's a really nice horse.” Unexplained will be joined in the starting gate by Conquest Stables' $700,000 KEESEP acquisition Conquest Big E (Tapit), who exits an eighth-place finish in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Keeneland Oct. 31. The gray, who was ambitiously spotted in that event off a decisive graduation over 1 1/16 miles in Lexington Oct. 2, is out of a mare who is a half-sister to GSWs Softly (Binalong) and Coragil Cat (Forest Wildcat).
