Inglis has released the catalogue for its inaugural Chairman's Sale – Session II for Elite Breeding Prospects, which takes place on Apr. 7 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Newmarket complex in Sydney. The single-session sale, designed to offer a select group of high-quality breeding stock to buyers in town for Inglis's Easter sale and The Championships, has 89 catalogued. Those include nine fillies and mares currently on the track, headed by group performers Heatherly (Aus) (Lonhro {Aus}) (lot 4), Press Report (Aus) (Written Tycoon {Aus}) (lot 7) and Yattarna (Aus) (Exceed and Excel {Aus}) (lot 9). The broodmare portion of the sale includes Group 1 winner Provocative (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}) (lot 74) and Group 2 winner Don't Doubt Mamma (Aus) (Not A Single Doubt {Aus}) (lot 49).

The 50 broodmares catalogued include mares in foal to Frankel (GB), Snitzel (Aus), I Am Invincible (Aus), Written Tycoon (Aus), Fastnet Rock (Aus) and Exceed And Excel (Aus), plus siblings to 10 Group 1 winners.

The 25 weanlings include siblings to Russian Revolution (Aus) (Snitzel {Aus}), Unencumbered (Aus) (Testa Rossa {Aus}) and Black Minx (NZ) (Lonhro {Aus}), plus the progeny of stakes-winning dams including Dorf Command (Aus) (Commands {Aus}), Echo Maid (NZ) (Made of Gold), Impetuous (Aus) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}), Lilakyn (NZ) (Danehill), Lovemelikearock (Aus) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}), Sweet Sanette (SAf) (Jallad) and Walk Alone (Aus) (Honour and Glory).

There will also be five stallion shares offered: two to Sebring (Aus), one to Hinchinbrook (Aus) and two breeding rights to I Am Invincible (Aus).

“When we invited entries to this sale our goal was to put a selection of top-class bloodstock in front of the national and international buying bench that gathers in Sydney every Easter,” said Inglis's National Bloodstock Manager Jonathan D'Arcy. “The support for the sale has been great and to produce a catalogue that encompasses 25 top-class weanlings, several stakes-performed mares still racing, 50 top-quality broodmares in foal to some of the world's best stallions as well as the opportunity to purchase a breeding right or share in three of our leading stallions is just what we envisaged.”

Wildcard entries for the Chairman's Sale – Elite Breeding Prospects session will close on Apr. 3. Entries for the first session of the Chairman's Sale, the Elite Racing Prospects session on Mar. 30, close on Mar. 27. Included in the catalogue already are stakes-performed 2-year-old Eden Roc (Aus) (Star Witness {Aus}); 25% of Group 3-winning 3-year-old Man From Uncle (Aus) (Uncle Mo) and 30% of stakes-placed 3-year-old Land Of Plenty (Aus) (Stratum {Aus}).

Also online is Inglis's Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale catalogue. The sale, which will be the last staged at Inglis's Newmarket complex before it moves to Riverside Stables at Warwick Farm, has been moved forward from its traditional May spot and will run Apr. 10 to 12. There are 543 lots catalogued. Day one will see 137 weanlings offered by such proven sires as More Than Ready, So You Think (NZ), Choisir (Aus), Star Witness (Aus), Hinchinbrook (Aus) and Sebring (Aus), as well as a plethora of promising second, third and first-year sires. Broodmares will sell the following two days, and that section includes offerings in foal to leading sires like Written Tycoon (Aus), I Am Invincible (Aus), Exceed And Excel (Aus), More Than Ready, So You Think (NZ), Choisir (Aus), Hinchinbrook (Aus) and Lonhro (Aus). The sale will also provide a first chance for buyers to get their hands on mares in foal to first-crop covering sires like Kermadec (NZ), Headwater (Aus), Pride Of Dubai (Aus), Exosphere (Aus), Press Statement (Aus), Scissor Kick (Aus), Super One (Aus) and Vancouver (Aus).

“Year after year this sale provides investors with outstanding opportunities, be it for pinhooking weanlings to the following year's yearling sales or for breeders looking to buy well-related mares in foal to the Hunter Valley's wide array of stallions,” D'Arcy said. “Following on from an outstanding 89-horse catalogue in the Elite Breeding Prospects session of The Chairman's Sale on the previous Friday night, this year's edition of the Australian Broodmare and Weanling sale promises to reward buyers with great value for money and the opportunity to purchase weanlings and mares from some of the country's leading breeders.”
