Fan-favorite Groupie Doll (Bowman's Band–Deputy Doll, by Silver Deputy), winner of the GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint back-to-back in 2012 and 2013 and named champion female sprinter in each of those seasons, has been pensioned from breeding, according to a tweet from Mandy Pope's Whisper Hill Farm.

“Big News for the Groupie Doll fans!” read a post from Whisper Hill on X. “Groupie Doll has been officially retired from breeding. She will live at the farm in Florida and be pampered like the absolute queen she is for the rest of her days.”

Bred by Fred and trainer William 'Buff' Bradley, Groupie Doll made the 2011 GIII Gardenia Stakes the first of her nine career graded victories, but she exploded onto the scene at four in 2012, with wins in the GI Madison Stakes, GI Humana Distaff S. and a 4 1/2-length romp in the Filly & Mare Sprint at Santa Anita. She closed the season with a nose defeat against the boys in the GI Cigar Mile Handicap.

Kept in training at five, Groupie Doll successfully defended her title in the GII Presque Isle Downs Masters Stakes and made it consecutive wins in the Filly & Mare Sprint back at Santa Anita before being acquired by Whisper Hill for $3.1 million at the 2013 Keeneland November Sale. Groupie Doll was a troubled fourth in the Cigar Mile and closed her career with a seven-length score in the GIII Hurricane Bertie Stakes. She retired to the breeding shed with a record of 12-4-4 from 23 starts and earnings of $2.648,850.

As a broodmare, Groupie Doll is the dam of seven foals of racing age, four of which were victorious, including Tap For Me (Tapit), a two-time winner of over $163,000 whose yearling filly by Munnings fetched $210,000 at last year's Keeneland September Sale. Her final living produce is a 2-year-old filly of this season by Jackie's Warrior.
