The Hong Kong Jockey Club and the UK Tote have come to an agreement to enable the commingling of bets from the UK into Hong Kong pools beginning Nov. 16. As part of the agreement, UK betting shop operators and online platforms–including Betfred, Coral and Ladbrokes–will accept bets on the HKJC's parimutuel tote pools.
“Given its tremendous legacy in the sport of horse racing, it is a great pleasure to welcome the UK to our expanding list of commingling jurisdictions,” said Richard Cheung, Executive Director, Customer and Marketing of the HKJC. “While we are certain that UK racing fans will be attracted to the world-class racing in Hong Kong, especially with our Longines Hong Kong International Races looming on Sunday, Dec. 11, our midweek racing, often at Happy Valley, is a perfect midday option for customers.”
