Arrogate (Unbridled's Song, 134) and Winx (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}, 132) remain the top two horses in the most recent Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings released Thursday, while Flaxman Stables' Ulysses (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) has joined GI Whitney S. and GI Woodward S. romper Gun Runner (Candy Ride {Arg}) in a joint third on a rating of 127 following his two-length defeat of Churchill (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) in the G1 Juddmonte International S. at York Aug. 23. In adding to his victory earlier this season in the G1 Coral-Eclipse S., the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Ulysses was elevated from a previous ranking of 121.

Making a similar move from 120 to 125 was Godolphin's 3-year-old sprinter Harry Angel (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}), two-back winner of the G1 Darley July Cup who most recently thrashed his rivals by four easy lengths in the G1 32red Sprint Cup at Haydock Sept. 9, one day prior to the closing of the window for the current rankings.

Newcomers to the WBRR include Cracksman (GB) (Frankel {GB}, 122), recent winner of the G2 Great Voltigeur S. ahead of a convincing score in the G2 Prix Niel on Arc preview day at Chantily Sept. 10; G2 Prix Foy victor Dschingis Secret (Ger) (Soldier Hollow {GB}, 120); and Marsha (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}), who joins the rankings on 120 following her last-stride defeat of Lady Aurelia (Scat Daddy, 122) in the G1 Coolmore Nunthorpe S. at York. Vega Music (Aus) (Lope de Vega {Ire}) enhanced his credentials for the G1 The Everest Oct. 14 with a second Group 1 success in the Sept. 2 Memsie S. at Caulfield and is rated on 120.
