The Aga Khan's 3-year-old colt Vedevani (Fr) (Dubawi {Ire}) will be offered for sale by Arqana on their on-line portal Arqanaonline.com this Thursday at 3.00pm French time. The auction will remain open for 24 hours. The horse, who lead the field for a long way in Sunday's G1 Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, can be viewed at Aiglemont between Wednesday and Friday by appointment with stable manager Pierre Groualle. A full veterinary file was compiled on Tuesday and is available on Arqana's online repository. Trained by Alain de Royer Dupre, Vedevani won his maiden at Deauville on his debut last year and has run some smart races in defeat since then, most notably when finishing second to Cloth Of Stars (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) in the G3 Prix des Chenes at Longchamp last September and more recently when he finished third to Talismanic (Fr) (Medaglia d'Oro) in the Listed Prix Turenne at Saint-Cloud Sept. 14. Vedevani hails from a typically successful Aga Khan family; his dam Vadawina (Ire) (Unfuwain) won the G1 Prix Saint Alary and is also the dam of Group 2 winner Vadamar (Fr) (Dalakhani {Ire}).
