The 3-1 chance broke on top and set an uncontested early quarter in :23.67 from along the rail. She was pressured through a half in :48.25 and opened up at the top of the lane. Sweet Victory extended her winning margin down the stretch to finish 6 1/4 comfortable lengths ahead of favored Fired Up Sensation (Zensational). Sweet Victory is the third foal out of the stakes placed My Mammy, who is a half-sister to GISW Bandini (Fusaichi Pegasus). The stakes placed second dam, Divine Dixie (Dixieland Band), is a half-sister to the successful sire Stormy Atlantic.
