Violence to Stand for $25,000 in 2018

Freshman sire Violence (Medaglia d'Oro–Violent Beauty, by Gone West) will stand the 2018 breeding season for a fee of $25,000 LFSN, Hill 'n' Dale Farms announced Tuesday. He had stood for $15,000 previously.

The 7-year-old currently ranks second on the freshman sire earnings list and is the co-leading sire of stakes winners with three.

Violence was a breakaway sire at Keeneland this year with yearlings selling for $850,000, $725,000, $475,000, $425,000, etc. These are big numbers for a horse that stood for $15,000,” said farm owner John G. Sikura. “We have always believed in providing breeders with exceptional value. The increase to $25,000 is in alignment with that philosophy. We feel Violence is on a trajectory to become a leading sire.”

2018 fees for the other Hill 'n' Dale stallions will be released imminently.
