A bill that would allow slots at Kentucky racetracks was defeated in committee in the State Senate Monday night. The vote was 10-5 against sending the bill to the full senate, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal. Only one of the 12 Republicans on the Senate and Appropriations and Revenue Committee voted to support the bill, which was passed last Friday by the House.
