A 20-horse catalogue has been released for the 2022 Wanamaker's August Sale, which is comprised of breeding stock, horses of racing age, yearlings, and a weanling. Bidding will open Thursday, Aug. 25th at 8:00 AM ET, with the first listing set to close at 5:00 PM ET. Subsequent listings will close in three-minute increments. Entries for the sale are highlighted by Hip 5–Ski Slope (Frosted)–a twice-raced maiden 2-year-old filly who placed in a maiden special weight at Keeneland in April on debut before running behind subsequent Grade II placed Dazzlingdominika. Also on offer is Justafantasy (The Lieutenant), an unraced New York-bred juvenile filly from the first crop of her belated sire. She is currently working at Penn National, is gate approved, and could be nearing a debut soon.
