Hip 571, a strapping bay colt by War Front, consigned by Lane's End Agent, was knocked down for $1.9 million on the bid of Shadwell Estate Company Ltd. during Wednesday's session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Bred by W. S. Farish and Lazy F Ranch in Kentucky, he is out of a stakes-winning half-sister to MGSW Lead Story (Editor's Note). Under the third dam is GI Breeders' Cup Distaff heroine Unbridled Elaine (Unbridled's Song), as well as GI Ashland S. victress Glitter Woman (Glitterman).
