A Claiborne Farm-consigned son of the stud's successful young stallion War Front out of Gold Vault (Arch) was the subject of a protracted bidding war and when the dust settled, the half-brother to MGISW Contested (Ghostzapper) was the property of Jane Dunn, agent, on a bid of $1.05 million. The April 15 foal, bred by Seth Hancock's Cherry Valley Farm, is a grandson of Questress (Seeking the Gold), who produced GISW Pomeroy to the cover of another sire son of Danzig in Boundary. Questress is the dam of a weanling 3/4-brother to Pomeroy of this year, also by War Front.
