According to Daily Racing Form, likely two-year-old champion War Pass (Cherokee Run) suffered a mild case of colic Friday and was sent to Palm Beach Equine Clinic, but returned to trainer Nick Zitoís barn at Palm Meadows Saturday morning. ìWar Pass showed signs of abdominal discomfort with the symptoms of a mild impaction at feed time on Friday,î Dr. Joseph Migliacci told DRF. ìAs a result, we decided to send him to the Palm Beach Equine Clinic, where he could receive maintenance fluids all evening. It was basically a precautionary measure. He passed manure all evening, had a good night, and is back to normal this morning.î The colt missed a scheduled workout yesterday, but Zito expected him to be back at the track today. ìHe came back looking great and I'll probably send him to the track Sunday,î Zito told DRF.
