Waratah Thoroughbreds Secures Sister to Japanese Derby Hero for $1.79M

A full-sister to recent G1 Japanese Derby winner, Deep Brillante (Jpn), sold to Paul Fudge's Waratah Thoroughbreds for ᆬ145,000,000 at JRHA Select Sale Tuesday. “She is such a smashing filly, and we were delighted with the result. I wish her new connections the best of luck,” stressed Paca Paca Farm's general manager Mick Buckley. Deep Brillante was purchased by Northern Farm out of the Paca Paca Farm consignment at the 2009 JRHA Select Sale for ᆬ31,000,000. Their dam Love and Bubbles, a Group 3 winner in France, has also produced the Group 3 placed Hubble Bubble (Jpn) and is a half-sister to Listed winner Jeune Dream.
