Expensive purchase Tocco D'Amore (Ire) (Raven's Pass) will try to build on her debut success in a few weeks' time. Trainer Dermot Weld's objective is to get black-type for the Moyglare Stud-owned 'TDN Rising Star', who cost €2 million at Goffs Orby Yearling Sale in September 2015. She made a belated racecourse bow at Naas in April, when hacking up by six lengths in a 10-furlong maiden.
“Tocco D'Amore is fine and we could look for something with her in a few weeks,” commented Weld. “The main aim with her would be to get some black-type. She loves a good dig in the ground, and we were thinking of a campaign later in the year as she is a slow-maturing filly. We didn't think the weather would be so unsettled and the ground would be like it is at the moment.”
